We had one heck of a time this summer with opossum, skunk and/or raccoon tearing up my pond and eating tons of my snails and frogs. It's just awful. I mean, you want to give them access to food and water, but it just takes on a life of its own. But not always in a good way.

But, I'm not going to quit putting out bird food or suet, and I'm not filling in the pond. We will manage and teach everyone to be polite!Linhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07042143254001890567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7653157038282170244.post-14620955695465906632012-10-22T16:03:07.042-04:002012-10-22T16:03:07.042-04:00I like your blog ans this post is fantastic!I like your blog ans this post is fantastic!Elenahttp://www.zhleet.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7653157038282170244.post-80069105246087154642012-10-21T21:46:27.964-04:002012-10-21T21:46:27.964-04:00We were dry earlier, but I'm sure we've ca...We were dry earlier, but I'm sure we've caught up after this week. We've been drier than normal for some time as well but it wasn't horrible until this summer. I've noticed that there was far less birdsong this year than last. I can't imagine that there would be an abundance of stuff to eat and water to drink. One person can only do so much. Thankfully we're doing better now that we've received quite a bit of rain but the wildlife and plant life have been suffering.

Cute frogs!! I'm trying to work out in my mind a outdoor habitat for our red eared slider turtle. He's still tiny right now and we have him indoors but he will grow up someday and need to stay outdoors in the winter. :-)

Blessings!
