Cedar Waxwings

Every January I get to enjoy a visit from a flock of Cedar Waxwings. They love to devour the privet and holly berries.

They put on quite a show. Suddenly an American Robin decided to try to run them off. Wish I had shot a video....but I was too busy watching to action.

They are like nomads always searching for food in the fall and winter. Maybe I will see them again before they return to their nesting grounds which is north of me. Would love to see their touching courtship ritual. The male shyly offers the female a berry. She accepts and hops away but then turns comes back and offers the berry back to the male. Sweet!

Wishing Peace, Love, Health, and Wealth to ALL!
