Living Large In A Small Space

Since I have lived in a Camper for close to 10 years...I really enjoyed the July/August issue of House Beautiful. Living in a small space does have many positive points....

As houses grow bigger and bigger, people feel less and less at home. So a new breed of homeowner is deliberately downsizing--way down. Here, an inspiring portfolio of smaller-then-small-then-small designs, some from the past, and some you can order today. by Shax Riegler

15 links to companies who design/build tiny to small homes are listed. I am sharing 2 of my favorites:

Could you live in one of these tiny houses? (I could.)
Tumbleweed Tiny House Company

This is my Dream Home!!! Can you not see me living in this cozy house? It is perfect for bird watching with the front and back porches. Maybe one day this home will be a reality. Wish me luck!!!

"Small rooms or dwellings discipline the mind, large ones weaken it." Leonardo Da Vinci

"I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, three for society....Many of our houses, both public and private, with their almost innumerable apartments, their huge halls, and their cellars for the storage of wines and other munitions of peace, appear to me extravagantly large for their inhabitants. They are so vast and magnificent that the latter seem to be only vermin which infest them. "  Henry David Thoreau, Walden, 1854.

Diana and Michael Lorence live in a 12 foot cube. It has a porch and lovely Shaker-like details....with no electricity in the mountains of northern California. Learn more about their very spiritual life and simple way of living Here.
We all could learn from them.

Wishing Peace,Health,Wealth,and Love for ALL!
