American Goldfinch

The male American Goldfinches have put on their Summer coats in NW Georgia.  Their presence will cheer the saddest of souls.

This is a link to All About Birds to hear their varied songs and calls: American Goldfinch Songs & Calls . I must point out that these were recorded in California...mine sound a little different. They must have Southern accents!

American Goldfinches love Niger seeds (which are expensive), Black Oil Sunflower Seeds and flowers that have gone to seed. I have success attracting them with BOSS and by allowing flowers to go to seed.

Springman who is the host of World Bird Wednesday has added the Eastern Towhee to his Life List. Go over and congratulate him and while you are there visit the other fine birding blogs from around the world!

All is well with my nesting birds. Expect an update with pictures soon.

Wishing All...Peace, Health, Wealth, and Love!
